She was let loose as the only loco on the tracks and she went for it. The cutest locomotive ever!

I have started painting again after a few months of lost interest. I am glad to be back with my pencils, brushes and paints.
A not so secret hobby of mine is model engineering. I say that but really it is driving the locomotives as I am quite dangerous to myself, the locomotive and everyone else when let loose with tools. In the past I have picked up a piece of metal that was in the low hundreds temperature and I have drilled a 6.5mm hole into the palm of my hand that two years later, is still numb in places. My gorgeous wife Veronica's first question is always to ask if I still have all my fingers and toes when I come in from the shed.
Anyhoo. I am the proud owner of Sir Tiny Of Toots, a 7 1/4 inch gauge Maxitrak Planet 2 battery locomotive, Lady Tilly Of Toots, a 5 inch gauge Ajax 0-4-0 live steam locomotive and now Dame Dinky Of Toots, a 5 inch Planet 2 super cute battery locomotive. She is gorgeous!
I have added a page called Tootingham Palace to this website for photos of them.
I am extremely lucky to be part of the Stockton and Darlington Model Engineers who have accepted the fact that I have a few eccentricities, I think is the best way of saying it. The last few months have certainly been a bit of a struggle for me and these awesome people have gone more than the extra mile to welcome Lady Tilly and Dame Dinky to the club.
The first video is the welcome for Lady Tilly about 8 weeks ago and the second video is from the weekend just gone at the Tees Cottage Pumping Station open weekend.
I dusted off my bagpipes for the occasion having not played them in around 2 years. I had five days to get them airtight, fettled for tuning and some tunes back in my finger muscle memory again! That, combined with a bit of stage nerves, is obvious in the video. But it really doesnt matter. We all had a great weekend of locomotives, music and good chums. Thank you lads and lasses.
